State University of New York - Albany
University in the High School Program
(SUNY - UHS)
Our World Language Department researched various programs and found that the SUNY program mirrors what were already teaching in our level 4 and 5 Spanish classes.
What is SUNY UHS? It is a collaboration between SUNY Albany and our high school which provides our students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. Students can earn 4 transferable credits for successfully completing a college semester's worth of material over the course of a year.
This program is an academically challenging, college-level course taught primarily in Spanish. To be successful in the course, students must be self-motivating and look for as many opportunities as possible to read, listen and speak Spanish, both in the classroom and out.
Below is the link to the SUNY UHS web site where you will find additional information about the program and important dates for enrolling. Please contact me if you have any questions about the program.
